Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the contracting and construction execution of utility scale solar and solar plus storage projects that progress from M&A/development to construction and on to operations. This role supports the EPC selection and contracting process, the construction of the project from pre-construction through project closeout, and finally the documentation and handover from construction completion on to operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting project's scope, schedule, and budget of construction projects.
• Develop and manage schedules for projects in pre-construction, and during construction.
• Assists with developing and managing submittal packages for project deliverables.
• Assists with managing inbound and outbound RFIs with project stakeholders.
• Assist with EPC RFPs for near term construction projects.
• Responsible for reporting project metrics, meeting minutes, and daily/weekly monthly updates.
• Assist with drafting SOWs for different scopes of the construction phase.
• Helps manage EPC contract negotiations and document management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in project or construction management, preferred.

Required Experience

• 2 - 5 years of large utility / industrial construction and/or project management experience is required.

Other Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Procore construction management software (or similar).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• OSHA10 certification, preferred.
• Experience with Smartsheet, preferred.
• Schedule & budget management experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements

The Assistant Project Manager may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands:

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like,
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces,
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another,
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions,
• Communicating with others to exchange information,
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
