Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction law and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and contribute to the success of our clients. The firm's practice is a good mix of litigation and transactional work, providing a well-rounded experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on construction law issues.
  • Draft and review contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on construction-related matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in construction law and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in construction law or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Associate Compensation: Our firm offers a competitive compensation structure based on experience and location. The base salary ranges are as follows:

  • 1st Year: $165,000
  • 2nd Year: $175,000
  • 3rd Year: $185,000
  • 4th Year: $195,000
  • 5th Year: $205,000
  • 6th Year: $215,000
  • 7th Year: $222,000
  • 8th Year: $229,000

Bonus Structure: Associates are eligible for performance bonuses based on several criteria, including the quality of work, client value, and hours billed. The bonus structure includes:

  • Threshold bonus starting at $7,000 for the first year, increasing annually.
  • Hourly component starting at $100 per hour for hours billed in excess of 1,850, up to 2,400 hours.
  • Additional bonuses for exceptional performance and contributions to the firm.
