Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $120,000, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing new talent and providing valuable hands-on experience. There is potential for a higher salary based on experience, education, certifications, and skills.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our client's accounting team in Iowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting audits, filing taxes, and providing financial advisory services to clients. A strong understanding of accounting principles, state and federal regulations, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Auditing: Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for financial improvement.
• Tax Planning & Filing: Prepare and file state and federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing applicable deductions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts for clients or the organization.
• Consultation & Advisory: Offer financial advice on decisions related to mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth analyses, identify trends, and recommend improvements for financial performance.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing financial concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with payroll, auditing, and tax departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Software Utilization: Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) for reporting, data entry, and analysis.

Qualifications:

• CPA License: An active CPA certification is required, with current registration in Iowa.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in accounting, auditing, or tax preparation, ideally within a public accounting firm.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Tax Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Iowa state and federal tax codes and regulations.
