\n The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
• Eligible candidates will be transitioning US military service members to include US Guard and Reserves that are eligible for or on terminal leave, or other than dishonorably discharged veterans who served in the capacity of a medic, medical technician or corpsmen and apply to this position if you have not applied to MMAC first. Visit: />• Last applied the majority of the hands-on patient care skills as indicated in the MMAC GSOP no later than 12-months prior to MMAC application date
• Valid Virginia driver’s license
• HS Diploma or GED.
• MUST have the ability to work ANY shift, weekends and overtime hours.
• Ability to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate client behavior through observing, conversing and listening, interact with clients in a therapeutic manner, and the ability to monitor and report changes in patients’ medical and psychiatric status
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
• Ability to walk and/or stand a minimum of 75% of time while on shift; bend at the waist and knees, use upper extremities (hands) to hold, grasp and manipulate work materials
• Ability to administer CPR is also required.
Additional Considerations

Experience providing direct care to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse issues, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities
Enrollment or completion of a degree program in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Nursing, Health Care Major or related education/training.
