Zurich is currently hiring a Construction Primary Casualty Underwriter (Senior or AVP) to join the Construction team in the Tri-State area of New York (New Jersey, Connecticut, and New York), Boston, or Philadelphia regions. As a member of Zurich's Underwriting Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting and marketing skills while building relationships with our Preferred Distribution Partners within the Northeast territory. In this role, you will handle a wide range of large, complex construction risk types including new and renewal accounts across Auto, GL, and Worker’s Compensation as well as large project/wrap-up insurance programs.

While candidates with construction casualty experience are ideal, we will consider Senior Underwriter candidates who have a desire to expand their skillsets in the construction risk management space.
This role will be filled at either the Senior Underwriter (Level III) or AVP Underwriter (Level IV). The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $120,000.00- $222,000.00. The proposed salary range for the Senior is $120,000.00 - $170,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%. For the AVP is $172,000.00- $222,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
