Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population.
The Director of Community Education and Workforce is a new position that will build out engagement and non-credit certificate education programs to support all immigrant newcomers, non-traditional adult learners, and recent ELL high school graduates in the community. The end goal for all engagement and enrollment is completion of ELL and workforce skills certificate training programs and beyond. The director will continue to develop and support the success important infrastructure and curriculum that supports newcomers to communication proficiency and job success cocurricular ESL and Skills Based certificate training and new workforce certificates. Focus areas of intensive non-credit coursework to be continued and scaled under this new director are new trainings for working families, pipelines to careers for immigrant laborers and new ELL graduates from high school. The Director will continue to build out the intensive ELL language bridge, leadership communication, administrative career skills, written management skills, Auto Damage Adjuster, Newcomer Cultural Exploration, pipeline to Behavioral Health, Pipeline to Early Childhood, Pipeline to Hospitality, Pipeline to Property Management, Pipeline to Green Energies, Pipeline to Healthcare Suite.
In addition to new program, coursework development and support, this administrative role will focus on the supervision of staff members and faculty, lead grant budget and management. Coordinate and develop student interns, professional interns and volunteers. The new director will be a liaison for the data coordinator and help oversee the management of the registrations, tuition and purchase approval. The Director will lead an annual Forum on Immigration Workforce Summit and participate in and create new community events. This position will also be a key leader at MassBay and collaborator for community events, onramp bridge to industry kiosks, partnership fairs and assimilate as a participant into successful events upon partner requests.

Salary Range: $98,000 - $108,000 annual salary
