Responsibilities

National homebuilder with a superb reputation as a leader and innovator in the industry is seeking a Director of Market Research and Analysis in our Corporate Land Department.

This position is responsible for leading the standardization and centralization of market analysis for the company's land acquisition strategy. These efforts will provide analytical support to the company's land acquisition review and approval processes. This position will support Corporate Land's underwriting review processes by providing timely market analysis and reporting to influence land acquisition investment decisions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide analysis and decision support to land acquisition investment decisions via market analysis and financial underwriting.
• Utilize analytical technology tools and applications such as Landvision, Zonda, Zillow, etc. to the full extent of their capability to provide additional insights to derisk land investments.
• Collaborate with Division and Regional Land Management in the preparation of Land Packages being presented for approval to the Land Investment Committee.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis in support of achieving company's strategic goals for land acquisition.
• Standardize the market analysis activities that are performed in conjunction with Land Acquisition project approvals.
• Hire and manage analyst resources that will support the centralization efforts.
• Become an expert with key technology support systems that are utilized by Corporate Land. Be able to mine data and create insights.
• Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Corporate Land and Land Acquisition Analytics Manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics or related field
  
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling
• 5+ years experience in real estate market research
• Knowledge of real estate market dynamics and land development processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other relevant software
• Experience in homebuilding is plus
