Position Description Summary

APT Research is hiring a full-time, Mission Fault Management Integration Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support a 9/80 work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the Integrated System Level FMEA, FMECA, Fault Tree, Goal Tree, etc. using a combination of classical and model-based systems engineering approaches
• Develop Fault Protection Design Document (FPDD) and the Monitored Condition List

Required Experience/Education :

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of related experience
• Prior experience working Vehicle Health Management, Fault Detection Isolation and Recovery
• Knowledge of Avionics and Flight Software
• Knowledge of FMEA, FMECA, FTA

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Must be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET level clearance is needed

Preferred Experience:

• Ability to read SysML and interact with MBSE products such as Cameo, Magic Draw, or Rhapsody

• Office environment
• Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written
• Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers

Travel Requirements :

• Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.) <10%

Physical Requirements :

• Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation / desk
• Ability to lift >15 lbs.

Other Essential Functions:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgement
• Work attire must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk / hazard to the employee or others
