Job Family : Investigator Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : None What You Will Do : The responsibilities of the Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst will include, but are not limited to: Performing Anti Money Laundering (AML) and/or Fraud alert/case reviews, seeking to mitigate risks associated to financial crimes and suspicious activity. Applying research and analytic techniques to digest complex information sets to make logical and adequately supported determinations in regard to unusual and potentially suspicious activity. Applying consistent and well-documented analysis aligned with industry standards to ensure success in the following daily efforts of Transaction Monitoring: Conducting an end-to-end and meticulous review of potential illegal or suspicious activity; Completing time-sensitive and meticulous analysis of each instance of potential OFAC Sanctions violations, Anti-Money Laundering activity, Fraud and/or suspicious financial activity across multiple jurisdictions and countries; Assessment of customer profiles and client data to identify whether activity is consistent with typical purchasing/payment activity, including Acceptable Use Policy adherence and Know Your Customer efforts; Documenting findings in narrative style format, in a transaction monitoring case management system and prepare updates to Project Managers / Team Leads as appropriate; and Making determinations in addition to drafting and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR). Executing and delivering high quality work product, functioning both independently and in a collaborative setting with a focus on client satisfaction. Learning client procedures, systems, and processes and adhering to client requirements. What You Will Need : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university plus 2 years of experience OR 4-8 years of professional experience in lieu of degree Experience reviewing and dispositioning manual and system generated alerts/cases/files to mitigate risk associated with financial crimes. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance). Knowledge of Financial Crimes Compliance functions such as OFAC Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, KYC, CDD, EDD and/or Financial Fraud Investigations. Knowledge of the legal, corporate governance, and regulatory environment related to the BSA and USA PATRIOT Act. Ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crimes activity. Strong analytical and research skills. The ability to excel within a team environment and independently. The ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize tasks. The ability to work in a production driven environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite Products. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new policies, procedures, and vendor systems. A demonstrable willingness to work more than 40 hours when needed. US Citizenship or Green Card required What Would Be Nice To Have : 1 to 2 years of experience assessing and reviewing system generated and manual AML alerts and/or escalations/SAR write-ups for potentially suspicious activity. CAMS certification.
