Role : Full-time, 3/6-month Internship (Can convert to full-time)

Brief Description:

In this role, you will learn from and contribute to a fast-paced startup’s B2B marketing and sales effort to drive sales and business development efforts. This can convert into a full-time position after 3-6 months of internship (based on performance and availability).

Responsibilities:

Support Business Development:

  • Observe and assist business development efforts to understand how new opportunities with universities and colleges in assigned U.S. markets are created.
  • Conduct research and analysis on the target audience of universities and key decision-makers to understand their facts, personas, needs, and priorities.
  • Engage in supervised outreach with universities using phone calls, LinkedIn, and email, following guidance from the Account/Sales Executive.
  • Support marketing efforts by assisting with on-ground events, campaigns, and online engagement activities such as webinars.
  • Shadow and participate in meetings with potential decision-makers, observing and contributing to discussions on the platform’s value proposition.

Support Sales and Business Development Operations:

  • Learn and assist in configuring HubSpot to align with business processes, ensuring accurate data management across marketing and sales functions.
  • Undergo training on HubSpot features and assist in generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports for sales and business development.
  • Provide administrative support as needed , ensuring smooth business development operations.
  • Maintain clear documentation of all research, outreach, and data updates using HubSpot or equivalent tools, under supervision.
  • Assist in essential data analysis efforts using Excel and HubSpot, learning how data supports decision-making.

Support Sales:

  • Assist in market research by gathering insights on universities’ reputations, public analytics, and brand strength in intended markets, including conducting interviews with students and relevant audiences.
  • Contribute to sales proposals and marketing collateral development , collaborating closely with the reporting manager and Account Executives.
  • Observe and assist in building customized research and sales proposals under guidance, learning how to support closing sales opportunities.

Qualification and experience:

  1. Master's degree in Business Administration / Marketing or related fields (Graduating students/students in the final semester are welcome to apply, but the internship will start immediately)
  2. Candidates with past relevant work experience are preferred
  3. Authorized to intern/work in the US. International students on OPT are welcome to apply (Sponsorship of appropriate work visa can be considered if internship is converted to a full-time position, basis performance)

Skills & Qualities:

  1. Ability to work collaboratively with teams from multiple functions, sometimes across multiple timezones
  2. Communication & Relationship Building – Strong verbal/written skills to engage university leadership via calls, LinkedIn, and email.
  3. Research & Analysis – Ability to analyze universities’ offerings and brand chatter in traditional and social media and understand target audiences and market trends.
  4. Sales Support – Understanding lead generation, proposal development, and value proposition pitch.
  5. Marketing & Events – Experience or willingness to execute webinars, campaigns, and on-ground events.
  6. Data & Tools Proficiency – Highly comfortable with advanced skills in Excel, digitally savvy with enterprise software and CRM tools.
  7. Flexible to work on ad-hoc projects with a can-do attitude.
  8. A self-starter with the drive to learn and do whatever it takes to get the job done
