This position will be the pricing lead for Aetna’s small group medically underwritten coverage. The focus will be on Aetna Funding Advantage (AFA), a level-funded product with over $2 billion in annual revenue, trusted by senior leadership to deliver strong and stable margins. Additionally, oversee profitable growth for 51-100 fully-insured and emerging MEWA and Association opportunities. A strong candidate will: Take a disciplined approach to SG rate adequacy, with strong execution of semiannual new business rate review and monthly renewal block checks. Ideate and evaluate strategic initiatives that balance membership and margin objectives. Collaborate and build influence with SG Center of Excellence, sales, and underwriting business partners. Develop deep expertise in risk score methodologies to optimize the trade-off between UW predictiveness and the costs/resources required. Align pricing and management processes across the SG ecosystem. Manage a team of 8, ranging from analyst to senior manager levels, including several colleagues in the leadership development rotational program. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree along with 10+ years of actuarial experience. ASA or FSA. Rating & forecasting experience. Experience with Microsoft Excel. Creativity and intellectual curiosity to navigate the dynamic level-funding competitive environment. Preferred qualifications: Experience with level-funding and/or small group products. ASA or FSA credentials. Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
