Job Description
We are seeking a Receptionist/Legal Assistant at our mid-sized medical malpractice defense firm to work alongside our team of attorneys, paralegals, and calendar coordinators. Candidates must be skilled and have prior office experience. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task several assignments is required. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
Receptionist/Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
· Professionally answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff member or attorney.
· Process incoming mail: scanning and saving various legal documents to system; distributing to appropriate staff member or attorney.
· Monitoring and maintenance of office supplies and groceries - placing orders with our providers.
· General organization and maintenance of case files: filing; scanning; closing/stripping old cases; creating folders & binders.
· Professional communication and coordination with clients, experts, counsel, and insurance representatives
· Management of calendar events.
Receptionist/Legal Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
· Prior office experience REQUIRED
· Legal experience preferred
· Excellent organizational skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
