Job Description
Allegiance Staffing is looking for roll repair mechanics in Spartanburg SC.
Shift: 6am-6pm M-F
Pay rate: $17-$20/hr based on experience
The roll repair mechanic is responsible for disassembly, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling metal rolls for the paper and textile industries. Read and understand process sheets and paperwork to determine specifications. Disassembles and repairs necessary parts on customer equipment using appropriate tools. This may include drilling, tapping, using a torch, cleaning and removing bearings and cleaning parts. Reassembles equipment to customer specifications. Maintains a clean work area. Conforms to safety and inspection requirements. Complete daily paperwork.
Qualified candidates must have 2-3 years of auto mechanic experience
Qualifications/Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of auto mechanic experience
• Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers and micrometers, including metric measurements.
• Good mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience with good working knowledge and experience with powered hand tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulics helpful.
• Experience using lift trucks and overhead cranes desired.
• Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs. and work up to 12 hour shift on concrete floor.
• Ability to train for operation of all machines.
