PBS Software Americas Inc SAP Data Archive Consultant
Position Summary:
The SAP Data Archive Consultant will serve as a technical point of contact during the implementation process. As a PBS consultant, you will build positive relationships with customers and your team to ensure successful project delivery. This role involves assisting customers in understanding and utilizing the full range of PBS products.
This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the implementation PBS solutions, configuration SAP standard data archiving, and completion of related systems analysis. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a strong passion for helping customers implement and maintain our products. It demands technical, hands-on expertise with SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The role is remote-based within the US, with occasional travel required for project support and company meetings. Operating or working hours are typiceally based on US Eastern to Central timezones.
Responsibilities:
Foster positive relationships with customers by serving as the technical point of contact throughout the implementation process including:
- Developing a deep understanding of our products and their usage, and perform installations of our software in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
- Installing, configuring and testing PBS product solutions as well as SAP standard data archiving and SAP system configuration to support solutions projects
- Building documentation and presentations to support project change management and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Providing customer feedback on operational and usage issues to Product Management
- Participating in internal and customer project meetings including kick-offs, weekly checkpoints, and handover to support
- Joining regular meetings with internal company leadership
- Assisting resolution of technical issues
- Assisting with on-call rotation
- Travel as needed, approximately 10%
Position Qualifications / Requirements - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems Management or related field
- Hands-on experience working in SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments as a technical resource
- 3+ Years of experience in a technical role supporting data volume management projects with experience in SAP standard data archive tools, SAP ILM, or related technology (document management/archiving systems)
- Strong written and verbal skills coupled with problem-solving abilities and organizational skills
- Highly responsible and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and efficiently in remote settings with minimal supervision
- US Citizenship and residency in the United States
- In compliance with applicable state laws, the ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with PBS Software Americas HR policy
- Project Management certification is not required but considered a plus
