A Scale Operator is responsible to weigh trucks, assist with customer needs, and monitor pit functions. Salary range: $16.00 - $22.00 / hr Hours per week: 40 Duties and/or Responsibilities: Place & take phone calls from internal and external customers for product. Weigh trucks (internal & external customers) and prepare ticket for driver. Maintain accurate records of materials & quantity. Enter necessary information into computer system for inventory, billing and/or time keeping purposes. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.) Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and manager/supervisors. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR and Knife River safety and environmental regulation compliance. Performs other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications: General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills and customer service experience is a plus.
