Supervisory Facility Planning and Project Manager (Detail/Temporary Promotion) Opening Date : April 8, 2025 Closing Date : April 16, 2025 LC Organization Unit : Office of the Chief Operating Officer LC Organization Unit - Specific Office : Integrated Support Services (ISS) Grade : GS-14 Series : 1601 Availability : Library Employees Only Duration : 120 days Integrated Support Services (ISS) is offering an opportunity for a qualified individual to serve on a 120-day Detail or Temporary promotion at the GS-14 level. This individual will perform the role of Supervisory Facility Planning and Project Manager, GS-1640-14. Integrated Support Services is part of The Library of Congress’ enabling infrastructure. ISS provides support to the Library community in the areas of Facility Services, Operations, Logistics Services, Health Services, and Safety Services. The Supervisory Facility Planning and Project Manager provides support as follows: Translates management's goals and objectives into effective operations. Assigns responsibilities for carrying out objectives. Coordinates guidelines to improve program policies practices and methods. Develops program strategies, provides professional customer and technical assistance, and supports a wide range of issues related to the management and continuing improvement of the programs, policies, and procedures in Space Utilization, Planning and Design (SUPD). Performs a variety of analytical and evaluative studies of issues to determine their actual and potential effectiveness in achieving desired objectives. Conducts COR activities including contract management and oversight, procurement actions, as well as finance tracking and invoicing. Supervises assigned staff to include human resource functions, performance management, leave approval, etc. Application and Selection Process Interested candidates should, with permission from their supervisor , provide a resume with a one-page statement expressing interest in this opportunity, along with a description of qualifications that includes current work experience and training related to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below. Ability to interact and communicate collaboratively with all levels of an organization. Ability to strategize and negotiate solutions to solve complex facility-related projects and programs. Contract Management at the COR II/III level. Deadline for Application Submissions is April 16, 2025. This temporary opportunity is for 120 days and is open to LOC staff. The work schedule is flextime, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Situational telework may be available.
