Surgery Scheduler
Mechanicsburg, PA

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., no weekends or holidays

Direct hire with Company, full access to benefits (NOT a temporary job)

Job Summary:

As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a vital role in coordinating and managing the scheduling of surgical procedures within our healthcare system. You will be responsible for effectively communicating with medical staff and patients to ensure efficient workflow and timely access to surgical services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled surgical procedures
- Liaise with medical staff, including surgeons, nurses, and administrative personnel, to coordinate surgery schedules
- Communicate with patients to schedule appointments, confirm availability, and provide information about pre-operative requirements
- Ensure efficient scheduling of surgical procedures to minimize delays and optimize resource utilization
- Collaborate with the billing and insurance teams to facilitate the processing of surgical claims
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with some post-secondary education in a relevant field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting-Knowledge of the Epic practice management programs preferred.-Knowledge of insurance regulations, specifically Medicare, BC/BS, managed care plans and workers compensation carriers regarding scheduling and approval of surgical procedures.- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling software and electronic health record systems
- Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits:
Company offers a competitive salary range of up to $44,000 per year, as new employee, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
