Job Description

Builders Capital is looking for a highly motivated Transaction Coordinator to join our team! As a Transaction Coordinator, you are the go-to person for our borrowers and help provide them with the best class customer service in a timely manner; no two days are the same.

What You’ll Do:

  • Daily job duties include gathering documentation, data entry, budget reconciliation, draws and servicing portfolio management.
  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing loan draws for all assigned construction projects, order inspections, fund disbursements, review of invoices, lien waivers, and budget.
  • Manage loan maturity dates, process extensions, and modifications to keep servicing portfolio current.
  • Review account history and coordinate with borrowers to ensure the account stays up to date. Collect payments on past due accounts and make recommendations on non-responsive borrowers.
  • Flag exceptions and any Borrower concerns to the asset management team. Place loans on the watch list as concerns arise.
  • Provide best-in-class servicing to Borrowers, providing excellent communication and updates on the draws in process. Proactively coach Borrowers on tools for submitting draw requests.
  • Obtain third-party services (appraisal, title, flood determination, etc.) as needed.
  • Communicate with loan officers and borrowers via telephone and email (request documentation, answer questions, provide status, etc.).
  • Order & “review” inspection reports and date downs or lien searches.
  • Clear post-funding conditions as it relates to draw processing.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Construction draw experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s in Excel are a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial information to colleagues and management.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting work.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and resolve discrepancies effectively.
