About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Controller to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate closing of the accounting books on a monthly and annual basis, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This role involves a critical comparison of actual results against company forecasts to identify and resolve discrepancies across various P&L line items. The VP, Controller will also be tasked with safeguarding company assets through the implementation of robust accounting compliance and control procedures, particularly in the areas of cash control and vendor payments. A key aspect of the position is to partner with global teams to ensure the timely and contractually compliant payment of vendors, as well as to manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team. Applicants for the VP, Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with an advanced degree such as an MBA or CPA preferred. A minimum of 20 years of accounting experience is required, with a background in companies with international operations being a plus. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and possess exceptional problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential, as the role involves leading the accounting and finance team and acting as a financial partner to company executives.
