As our Housing Security Officer (known internally by us a Housing Concierge) youll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our service with lots of different and exciting activities within this job role. Youll make sure that our buildings and customers are safe and secure, and that we get on with our neighbours! You will be involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring service rules are followed. Youll be the first point of contact for your customers during the night. At times well also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.
The customers we support have experienced homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We have two services our Young Peoples Service housing customers aged between 16 and 24 years and our Adult service for over 18s. Our customers live in lovely single bedrooms with shared facilities as well as self-contained flats.
**About you**
It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your can do positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success.
As you will need to travel to our different properties, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover for your mileage!
Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative. You'll need to keep records to keep our customers safe, so it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

**Working hours for this job**
We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. Youll work during the twilight hours doing waking nights. Youll work 3 shifts a week on a rota basis with additional shifts available if you want to do overtime! We take turns working weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays. We look need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
**About our team**
Although youll work nights, we do get together regularly in the daytime for training and team meetings. Youll be part of our wider team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. Our manager is Emily has worked for Home Group for two years, after recently graduating, and has worked her way up to her manager role. Her passion is supporting those who want to gain experience in housing! There are 4 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too. We often meet up with other members of our teams across different properties for meals out or picnics - Covid-19 permitting!
