Job Description

Summary:

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the company's operations, including production, receiving, storage, and shipping, ensuring they align with customer needs. This role ensures that processes, equipment, documentation, and personnel are in place to meet business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage distribution operations through training, delegating, scheduling, and guiding employees; setting job expectations, monitoring performance, and enforcing policies.
• Contribute operational insights to strategic plans and reviews.
• Implement action plans to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Use lean tools to resolve issues, conduct audits, track trends, and share best practices.
• Meet financial goals by forecasting labor needs, participating in budget planning, scheduling capital expenditures, and addressing variances.
• Develop and enforce warehouse systems for receiving, inventory management, and shipping, ensuring alignment with company policies.
• Plan warehouse layouts, product flows, and handling systems; assess and recommend new equipment.
• Continuously improve warehouse operations by analyzing workflows, staffing, and space needs.
• Coordinate with sales, inventory control, and purchasing to ensure product availability.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to legal standards and ethical treatment of all employees.
• Stay updated on industry trends and professional developments.
• Work closely with local sales and supply chain teams to achieve optimal results.
• Promote a culture of safety and enforce safety standards.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in warehouse operations and supervisory roles.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Occasional travel may be required.
